VINEYARDS
The best grapes are selected from a small parcel of
north facing vines tucked out of the wind near
Waiheke’s Whakanewha Regional Park.
 
SEASON
Growing conditions were almost perfect throughout
the year, and whilst not as hot as 2019/2020, fruit was
picked a few weeks earlier than the previous years.
These conditions allowed fruit to reach optimal
ripeness with no weather stress experienced. As a
result, 2021 will be remembered as a vintage that
produced extremely high-quality fruit.
 
HARVEST
By hand in late February.
 
VINIFICATION
The fruit was gently whole bunch pressed to French
oak barriques (25% new). Following a period of lees
contact the wine was racked, blended and bottled.
 
TASTING NOTES
An elegant, pale gold in the glass. The palate is multi-
layered and complex with spice, nuts, stone fruit and
green apple with great acidity and a fine-grained
texture. The finish is clean and refined.
